A teddybear, yes, how cliche, but I love this thing and she’s probably my oldest possession as well as one of the three toys I’ve actually played with (and not just collected as an adult) that I’ve taken with me to my current apartment. I got her on my second christmas, and for a long time I never went anywhere without her.

Her body is made of flower-pattern cloth that wore out from frequent cuddling, and has been replaced once by my mum. When that wore out, too, I was just about getting old enough that I no longer played with her, but I couldn’t leave her like that, so I made her the shirt and overalls she still wears. And there may also have been a silly doll that was advertised to “really roller skate by herself” that I had and was very disappointed to discover could only flail and fall down and run out of batteries, and which ended up benefiting me only by donating her jacket, that happened to be my teddybear’s size, to complete the attire (the scanner didn’t like the idea, but it’s actually neon pink with a sparkly collar).

I do have plushies in my bed now, too, but she’s not one of them because I use them as extra pillows and she’s too precious/fragile. Nowadays she sits on a shelf of a closet, keeping company to the boogeyman that lives there.

She has a name, but that’s none of the internet’s business.

What is your favorite thinking space like? Or an ideal thinking place if you don't have one?

Best kind of cake??

lol why does this feel like such personal information suddenly?

All of this is really sweet, but— the ring fingers do too separate. I mean, mine do. Is this another weird thing that Normal People can’t do? Are the hypermobile just supposed to be Forever Alone?

Note: Married 14 years, as of today, to the most Awesome Sweetie. So I’m not cynical on this, just curious about the finger-thing.

Yeah, it’s apparently one of those “fact: it’s physically impossible to…” things that are possible for some people, like… I hear it’s a “fact” that no one can lick their own elbow, but some people, I’m sure, can. Thanks for pointing it out. It’s a good reminder that “old wisdoms” (I’m not sure about the source of this one, of course, so it might not be very old, or Chinese, anyway) aren’t always all that inclusive no matter how they’re treated as Truest of Truths About Things.

Also, congratulations to both of you awesome people!

I made some Merpio.

Is the old address still good in the event you would like it delivered?

And, I’m going to follow you, too, now. Glad to see you’ve got a tumblr. :)
