Tagged: Merlin, Arthur, MerlinArthur, OTP, Colin Morgan, Bradley James, have I mentioned lately how much I love Merlin for being so unashamed of his lack of interest in stereotypical manly manstuff, he thinks hunting is boring he calls knight practice hitting people with swords, he makes very clear how stupid he thinks battle tournaments are and how he doesn't get them, he doesn't pretend what's meant to be a light punch didn't hurt, he hugs everyone and openly cries and admits when he's scared, and he's one of if not the bravest and in his way toughest guy Arthur's ever known, which confuses him to no end because stereotypical manly manstuff is basically all Arthur's been taught, oh Arthur you're such a victim of the Patriarchy, well literally, it really shows so much that Merlin was raised by a loving mother who supports him even in being different, and Arthur was raised by a strict and distant father who takes his own insecurities out on his kids, the basis of Arthur's knowledge on showing affection is Uther only letting on he loves his son when one of them might be dying, have I mentioned lately how much this dollophead breaks my heart, .
