I would like to start an official movement to replace the prevalence of manpain in fiction with granpain.
A grandmother’s boyfriend is left dead in her apartment. She cradles the body tenderly. Her face hardens. SHE WILL GET HER REVENGE.
A grandmother stands on a roof, in a billowy leather coat. A single perfect tear trickles down her cheek — but when she turns around to confront her ten attackers, there is no trace of it.
“No,” says a grandmother, when her grandchildren attempt to dissuade her from her lonely path of vigilante justice, and turns her sad, noble profile to the side. “I work alone.”
Wagashi (和菓子) is a traditional Japanese confectionery which is often served with tea. Wagashi are considered more healthful because they are made entirely from plant-based ingredient. They are extremely suited to artistic manipulation, and to visual representation of a variety of symbolic elements. (x) (x)
Microsoft’s has unveiled a new video that shows off the next-gen possibilities of “IllumiRoom,” a projector that extends the action beyond the TV screen.

Beautiful Little Tea Cups
Lady, if this was ever put on a t-shirt I’d wear the shit out of it. Especially while trolling Sephora holding a slice in my hand. Because I’m the exact same way.
I did kind of make this with the intention of it being a t-shirt design since I need to design some shirts so… anyone want one? Let me know in some kind of note or message or email or whatever and I’ll make it happen.
Edit: Also posters. I’m definitely making posters.

- “Starz’s new drama ‘Incursion’ will revolve around a formidable sci-fi heroine. ‘Spartacus’ creator Steven DeKnight, who is developing ‘Incursion’ for Starz, cites James Cameron’s ‘Aliens’ as a major influence on the project. “I definitely wanted to avoid [another military show about a male protagonist],” DeKnight said. “I wanted to go down a different path.”
- “Men and women serve in the same platoon,” DeKnight said. “It’s an R-rated, military show set in the future [and they’re] fighting aliens on different planets.” As it stands now, each season of the show will take place on a different world.
- “I’m taking the same approach to what I did with ‘Spartacus,’ in that same-sex relationships are completely accepted,” DeKnight said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight or bi or anything — in the future, that makes no difference whatsoever.” In fact, DeKnight said he hasn’t figured out a way to do so yet, but he’s hoping to depict polyamorous relationships, “where you can have a husband, a wife and a husband, or any combination thereof … I find [that] deeply fascinating.”
- DeKnight said the focus of “Incursion” would be on the human side of every battle, in part because showing lots of computer-generated aliens is expensive. But the show’s aliens, when we do see them, will not look human at all. “This is no offense to anyone that does this — I know exactly why you do — but [our aliens] are not a human with a prosthetic on their head. No bumpy foreheads,” DeKnight said. He explained that aesthetic goal of the show is to give viewers a gritty, boots-on-the-ground perspective on war.
